Drooping eyelid correction and eyelid lift – Fix Brow Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™ surgery
“As we age, drooping eyelids can block our vision”
As people get older, most develop drooping, sagging upper eyelid skin that falls down over the eyelid crease. In more advanced cases it blocks part of the field of vision, so things look less clear and it feels as if something is in the way, and people have to raise their eyebrows high to see more clearly.

Drooping eyelids caused by ageing – Fix Brow corrects drooping eyelids
What is Fix Brow?
Fix Brow surgery using the Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™ technique at SLC Hospital is a small operation that removes excess eyelid skin and corrects drooping eyelids, with the scar hidden just beneath the eyebrow. It helps lift the eyelid crease so it looks more defined, without the need for double eyelid surgery . It corrects drooping, excess and sagging upper eyelid skin, which affects your vision and makes the face look older than its age, because drooping eyelids make the eyes look tired and dull. In Fix Brow surgery, the surgeon removes and reshapes the excess eyelid skin. The scar is very small and hidden beneath the eyebrow, so it cannot be seen.

Fix Brow surgery – Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™
Who is Fix Brow suitable for?
It suits people who already have an eyelid crease but whose crease is hidden (hooded), people whose upper eyelids are starting to droop, people with drooping eyelids or a crease that is hard to see, and people whose eyelid skin does not yet sag so much that it needs to be cut out. It also suits people with drooping outer eye corners. Fix Brow lifts the eyelid crease so it is more defined, helping the eyes look rounder and bigger with more of the iris visible, and making the whole face look brighter and more youthful. For older people whose drooping eyelids block their vision, Fix Brow surgery is a very effective way to correct sagging eyelid skin, improving their field of vision with no eyelid skin in the way.

Who is Fix Brow for? People with a drooping eyelid crease, excess eyelid skin, sagging eyelids or a hidden eyelid crease
Benefits of correcting drooping eyelids

Benefits of Fix Brow surgery for women
- The scar sits right along the lower edge of the eyebrow and you can fill in your brows as usual afterwards
- Corrects a hidden eyelid crease: Fix Brow draws out the hidden crease, making it more defined while keeping a natural look
- Leaves the eyelid crease undisturbed: no swelling, bulging or bruising around the crease
- Corrects sagging eyelid skin: excess eyelid skin is removed so the eyelid is firm, smooth and taut, the crease shows more and you look youthful again
Benefits of Fix Brow surgery for men
- The scar sits right along the upper edge of the eyebrow
- Corrects a hidden eyelid crease: Fix Brow draws out the hidden crease, making it more defined while keeping a natural look
- Leaves the eyelid crease undisturbed: no swelling, bulging or bruising around the crease
- Corrects droopy eyes and sagging eyelid skin: Fix Brow makes the eyelid skin firmer and smoother, so you look youthful again
The scar after Fix Brow surgery
In Fix Brow surgery using the Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™ technique, the surgeon makes the incision and closes it with great precision. The scar is hidden beneath the brow line and, once fully healed, gradually fades until it is hard to notice. In people with thick eyebrows, the brow hairs fall over it so the scar cannot be seen, and after the stitches are removed, filling in your brows can smoothly cover the scar.
- The incision runs right along the lower edge of the brow line, so the scar is hard to notice
- Corrects drooping eyelids precisely; suitable for people with a hidden eyelid crease who do not want double eyelid surgery
- The surgeon closes the incision with great precision

Tips: getting ready on the day of your brow lift surgery
- Arrive at SLC Hospital 2 hours ahead of time
- Do not wear make-up, and have your body clean and ready on the day of surgery. Do not wear contact lenses (if you need vision correction, wear your glasses before and after surgery). Do not wear make-up, nail polish or jewellery on the day of surgery. Please leave valuables at home
- On the day of surgery, wear loose, comfortable clothes that are not too tight, ideally a top that buttons at the front so it is easy to change
- We do not recommend driving yourself on the day of surgery. Have a relative or carer drive, or use public transport to get home
- Before Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™ brow lift surgery, prepare yourself mentally and try not to get too anxious. Be aware that swelling and bruising around the wound are normal after surgery and that the wound needs time to heal
- Self-care after a brow lift: what you can eat after surgery and foods to avoid after surgery for excess eyelid skin
How to look after yourself after a Subbrow Age-Delay Lift™ brow lift
- Carefully apply a cold compress or ice pack around the taped area and the forehead for the first 7 days, taking care not to let the ice pack touch the area covered by the plaster
- After day 7, once the plaster has been removed, apply a warm compress to any swollen or bruised area
- Sleep with your head raised on pillows for 2–3 days after the procedure
- For the first 1–3 days after surgery, clean your face with wet wipes or damp cotton wool and keep the wound dry. You can wash your face from day 4
- Avoid sunlight and apply sunscreen with SPF50 or higher, because the wound is sensitive to sunlight during the first month
- Finish all the medicine provided by SLC Hospital
- Clean the wound with saline and apply antiseptic, gently running a cotton bud along the wound
- You can eat normally, but avoid pickled or fermented foods and raw foods
- Do not drink alcohol or smoke
